Britain’s Health Secretary Matt Hancock is retiring in violation of the rules.
Hancock has been in bad weather since the British media released footage of him watching his chief adviser kiss. Hancock married another woman, but the kiss was in violation of infection control rules.
Photos will be available from May 6, a week before the rules on social exclusion between different households are repealed.
Hancock has apologized before the incident and said he was “very sorry”.
On Saturday night, he posted a video on Twitter where he apologizes again and says he was with Prime Minister Boris Johnson and resigned from the post.
– I understand the tremendous sacrifices made by everyone in this country. Just like you did. Those of us who make the rules have to follow them, which is why I have to step back, he says.
According to the BBC, Hancock now writes in a letter to the Prime Minister that “the people who have sacrificed so much in these epidemics have an obligation to be honest when we fail.” He repeats his apology more and more and apologizes to family and loved ones.
– The former Minister of Health says that the last thing I want is to draw the attention of my personal life away from focusing on guiding us out of this crisis.
Hancock’s pictures were first printed in the British newspaper The Sun, which says he and the consultant have known each other since studying together at Oxford almost 20 years ago.
Former Finance Minister Sajid Javed will take over as Health Minister, the Prime Minister’s Office has said.
